

John Frederick Stuckey, 91, of Circleville, passed away on Veteran’s Day, Friday, November 11, 2011 at Brown Memorial Home. He was born December 16, 1919 in Pickaway County, the son of the late Daniel Frederick and Nellie (Greenlee) Stuckey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Fetherolf) Stuckey in 2003; and his sister, Mary Barr. John grew up and worked on the family farm with his parents and sister. He was a WWII Army veteran, served in Salerno, Italy and was awarded the Purple Heart. John was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he and Marie had enjoyed being in the Couples Club.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Probasco of Reynoldsburg; grandchildren, Deanna (Dave) Gibbs of Whitehall and David (Diane) Probasco of Dubois, Wyoming; great-grandchildren, Natazia, Aydon and Kristin Rhoades; and cousin, Louise Stuckey of Circleville
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 14, 2011 at Defenbaugh-Wise-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Chaplain Jim Ferrell officiating. Burial will be in Forest Cemetery with military honors provided by AMVETS Post 2256 Honor Guard. Friends may call from 9:00 A.M. until the time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
