

John Benton Taylor, Sr., 92 of Westerville, OH died on Tuesday, April 10, 2012, at home. He was born on February 11, 1920 to the late Eva Tyler Taylor and John Wildey Taylor. His parents, two infant brothers and two adult brothers preceded him in death.
After graduating from Washington Adventist University in 1947, with a degree in Theology and Business, he began his career as an educator – both as teacher and administrator – in the Adventist school system in NJ, and also taught in OH, FL and KY. He later earned an MA degree from Andrews University. After 35 years of service, he retired in 1982. He was a member of the Worthington Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Benton is survived by his wife of 66 years, Ruth Taylor (nee Reusing), John Taylor, Jr. (Barbara) of Cicero, IN; Jeff Taylor (Dawn) of Laurel, MD; Marsha Morgan (Steve) of Westerville, OH; six grandchildren, and one sister, Nancy Monninger of NC; and many nieces and nephews.
Calling Hours are Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 12 noon with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St., Worthington (Just south of I-270), William E. Collins, PhD, officiating. Burial to follow at Blendon Central Cemetery.
