

John Anthony Waltz age 64 a resident of Dublin, died Sunday, March 14, 2010. He was born October 22, 1945 in Belfast, Ireland to Mamie Waltz and the late Herbert Waltz. He was retired after forty years from Pipefitters Local #189 and is currently employed with Krogers. He was a member of the National Guard. He had received a Meritorious Award for being an Inside Sentry with the Pipefitters and was an Adult Education Teacher for plumber and pipefitting apprentices. He was a very talented local musician with “The Monster Band”. He was a loving father, grandfather, son and brother. He is preceded in death by his father, his daughter Kelly’s mother, Patricia, nephew Bryan, niece Tiffany. He is survived by two daughters Kelly Waltz and Jennifer Haslamb, mother Mamie Waltz, grandchildren Reagan, Abby and Riley, brother Louis Waltz, sisters Roseanna Dalton, Frances (Greg) Price, special friends John Corbett and Ray Noltemeyer. Family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8 PM at SCHOEDINGER WORTHINGTON CHAPEL, 6699 N. High St. (1/2 mile south of I-270). A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 10:30 AM at St. James the Less Catholic Church, Oakland Park. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery.
