

Johnnie Cleon Davis, age 75, died unexpectedly Saturday July 27, 2013. He was born January 10, 1938 in Scottown, Ohio to the late Amos and Esther (Pitts) Davis. Graduate of Waterloo High School. Retired from ODNR, he also worked for White Westinghouse for 24 years. Member of Moose Lodge #11, Columbus Lodge #30 FandAM, the Scottish Rite, and the Shriners. John enjoyed lifting weights at the Hilltop Y.M.C.A and spending time with his grandson, Nathan and dog, Sammy Davis. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his twin brother, James; brother, Don; sisters, Eloise and Beulah Mae. He is survived by his wife, of 29 years, Sharon; daughters, Lisa (Michael) Bright, Robin Smith, and Kathy (Jeff) Hill-Morris; grandchildren, Kayla, Karla, Justin, and Nathan; brothers, Kenneth (Loretta) and Carl; sisters, Doris, Alma, and Nellie; and many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday August 1, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio. where a Masonic service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday.
