Jonette Rachel "Joni" Hanson

Jonette Rachel Hanson April 15, 1959 - June 6, 2015. Joni is survived by husband Rodney Elkins, parents Jon and Bobbie Hanson, and brother, Rick Hanson. Joni graduated from Reynoldsburg, OH High School in 1977, sixth in her class. She continued on with a scholarship at CTI and graduated with an Associate degree in computer programing in 1979. Her first job was with Public Employees Retirement System, next with Anchor Swan, and Gold Circle (in which she stayed to the very end helping with the closure). Then Joni was recruited by friends to become a contract programmer. She worked at Wendy's so long; most people thought she was a Wendy's employee. Wanting to learn new and different procedures, Joni obtained a position at AEP. Her final employment was with Chase Bank as a Programmer Analyst in the debit card section. Joni's sudden and unexpected death left her friends, family, employer, and co-workers all in shock. Joni's infectious laugh, love for people and great passion for life will leave all of us with happy memories. Joni's memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, June 13, 2015 at Faith Lutheran Church, 730 Collingwood Ave., Whitehall, OH.
