

Joseph “Joey” H. Belger, Jr., age 51, of Grove City, Ohio went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 18, 2011. He was born in Orangeburg, South Carolina on February 17, 1959 to Joseph “Joe” H., Sr. and Dorothy Ann (McMillan) Belger. Joey was a 1977 graduate of Henry County High School in Paris, Tennessee. He attended Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky and Newberry College in Newberry, South Carolina. Joey was a member of the First Baptist Church of Paris, Tennessee, attended Grace Brethren Church, and was an active member of AA for many years. He enjoyed contemporary Christian music and playing the drums. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy. Survivors include his father, Joe Belger; brother, Greg Belger; sister, Stacey (Jim Burgess) Bayliff; nieces and nephews, Case Belger, Nate Bayliff, Emily Bayliff, and Julie Burgess; and cousins, Bob McMillan, Kathy McMillan, Corley McMillan, Mark McMillan, and their families; and his beloved cat, Angel. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 22, 2011 at 11:00AM with visitation one hour prior at Grace Brethren Church of Columbus Worship Center, 8225 Worthington-Galena Road, Westerville, Ohio 43081. Pastor Tim Waggoner officiating. Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ehrhardt Cemetery, Ehrhardt, South Carolina.
