Joseph Cook was born February 10, 1963, in Columbus, Ohio. He was the 4th of five children and was affectionately known as Joe. After 61 years of life, he passed away peacefully with love ones by his side on February 12, 2024.
Joe was educated through the Columbus City School system and attended Gladstone Elementary, Linmoor Jr. High, Johnson Park Jr. High, and Eastmoor High School. After graduating he later went to culinary school and obtained his CDL license and drove trucks across the US.
In his younger years he played football for the Linden Eagles and enjoyed boxing. In his past time he enjoyed watching his favorite team the Cincinnati Bengals – “WHO DEY”, traveling and going to Florida to visit his favorite cousin Simone, going to his favorite restaurant the V Top Steak House, or just hanging out with various motorcycle club members and riding his motorcycle. He loved racing at the track and riding any fast crotch rocket, but most of all Joe just loved to have fun.
Joseph is preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Audrey Cook; brother, Raymond Durr.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jessica Moore, Isaiah Cook, and Kyren Pope; companion, Stacey Pope and children Jahron and Jaquiel Day; grandchildren, Carma and Dior Moore, Yamara Peake, Zay’Ana, Zayden, Zay’Veon, and Zayne Cook; brothers, James (Stephanie) Cook, Theodore Cook, and Mondell Cook; special aunt, Joyce Durr; special cousins, Simone (Jason) Brown, and Kevin “Sweet Pea” Blakey; special friends, James “Big Teddy” Hoard, Rob Reed, Sherry Gray, Karen Moore, Evette Scurry, Sheron Scurry, Chuck Walker, Kelley Tomas and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
