Joseph Albert Lombardo

Joseph A. Lombardo, age 92, of Pickerington, passed away on January 12, 2014. He was born in Columbus, OH on October 21, 1921 to Michael and Rose (Capuano) Lombardo. He was a graduate of Bexley High School. Joseph was the former owner of the Broadmoor Market. Veteran of U.S. Navy, WWII . Joseph was able to participate in the Honor Flight to Washington DC. He was a longtime member of Christ the King Church. Joseph enjoyed fishing, golf, the OSU Buckeye's and traveling to Las Vegas. Joseph is preceded in death by his loving spouse of 61 years Josephine Ann (Mascari) Lombardo; brothers, August Lombardo and John Lombardo, sister, Marie Eldredge. He survived by his sons, Michael (Catherine) Lombardo, Thomas (Sally) Lombardo, Joseph "Joe David" (Jackie) Lombardo; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Viola Lombardo and Shirley Lombardo; brothers-in-law, David Eldredge and James Mascari; many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends 4-7 pm Wednesday at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 am, Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Christ the King Catholic Church, 2777 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH, with Fr. David Schalk celebrant.
