to the late Harry and Mary (Priest) Millard on May 12, 1920, in Youngstown, OH.
Rev. Millard was a minister for over 40 years serving mostly churches in Ohio and Pennsylvania
who were affiliated with the American Baptist Churches USA. It was necessary for him to
semi-retire after an automobile accident in 1981 and he dedicated the next 10 years of his life
to being a hospital chaplain.
In his free time Joe enjoyed golfing, bowling, and camping; but his greatest pleasures were serving his
church, spending time with his wife, Edna Mae, and being "Poppy" to his children and grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Harry Millard; and sisters,
Marie Edenfield, and Marion MacLaughlin. He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years,
Edna Mae (Windle); daughters, Joanne Stewart and husband, Roger; Judith Taylor and husband, David;
Joyce Stasko and husband, Mike; 7 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; extended family
and friends.
Friends may call from 5pm-7pm on Friday, January 17, 2014, at the SCHOEDINGER
NORTHEAST CHAPEL1051 E. Johnstown RD. (at Beecher RD) Gahanna, where
Funeral Services will begin at 7pm with the Rev. James Taylor officiating.
Interment will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, January 18, 2014, at Forest Lawn Memorial
Park Cemetery in Youngstown, OH, with the Rev Richard Williams officiating.
