To my loving nephew. You know you have always had a special place in my heart. Now my heart is broken. Hope you felt all the love you deserved. I will miss you so much, but my heart will never let you go. Love you forever.

Trying to think back on my memories of Josh and his family. Growing up I spent a lot of time at their house having sleepovers and creating dance routines in the basement with Makayla! Zoey was always watching and hangout with us. When I think of Josh, I think of two things..  Chicago Bulls and Vipers, there were posters  of cars all over his bedroom walls. In elementary school those were definitely his favorite. Playing basketball at recess and drawing cars. I remember I talked my mom into letting me get a Chicago Bulls light switch cover for my bedroom because of Josh. I’m blessed to have known such a kind person in my childhood. My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Cook family <3 Making a donation in Joshs honor to the CAHS.

The most thoughtful memory I have of Josh is when he worked at Kroger. I would talk to him when I'd be shopping and one day he said to me that if Kroger didn't let him off work that his mom said he was not missing the family vacation and I never saw him at Kroger after that, so I'm pretty sure that he stopped working there because he chose the family vacation which was very special to him always! He enjoyed his family and was always smiling.

Our hearts are broken and even though we can't be with you during your time of grief, we want you to know that your family is in our hearts and minds. 

When I think of Josh, I think of a kind hearted young man with a beautiful soul. This kindness has been exhibited throughout your entire family.

Tranquil Seas was purchased for the family of Joshua J. Cook.

I feel so blessed to have known Josh and his beautiful family. I was fortunate to get to know Josh as his teacher in high school. His dreams were as big as his heart and I believed in every one of them! I may have taught Josh a few things, but I’m convinced he taught me more. I now know so much about Moto GP Motorcycle racing and the gear the riders wear.  Oh, Josh loved that gear. His favorite story to tell me was his chance ride on one of those cycles around the track! He also took me to my first car racing event up at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. What a fun day we had there two short years ago. He also taught me some things about fashion and told me my next pair of sunglasses had to be Oakley’s. (Of course). He helped me pick them out and they are the only pair I wear now.  Josh was such a talented artist. His freehand drawings were so incredibly detailed and amazing. I have shown them many times to my family and friends. God has chosen to take you too early, Josh. I will miss you so very much.

Heather & family~  Many fun memories of Josh and Kyle sharing birthday parties over Christmas break when growing up!  Knew he could draw, and encouraged this talent. He was always so very polite to take the time to talk with me when I would see him at Kroger!  So very sorry for your loss of a very nice son. Know that he is playing with every dog in heaven.
