Joy Gordon Patterson, age 65, of Columbus, entered into eternal rest Monday, October 12, 2009 after a short illness. Joy was born December 16, 1943 in Columbus. She retired from Columbia gas and had been employed with the Diocese of Columbus Department for Education. Joy will be missed by her parents, John and Edna Gordon; sons, Bobby (Chris) and Kevin (Jennifer) Patterson; granddaughter, Kennedy; sisters, Jeri (Larry) Rod and Joni Buhacevich; brothers, Jack (Kathi) Gordon and Joe (Mary) Gordon; numerous nieces, nephews extended family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 10am Thursday, October 15, 2009 at St. Mathias Catholic Church, 1582 Ferris Rd., Columbus, Rev. James T. Smith, Celebrant. Interment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Family will receive friends Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8pm with a wake service at 6:30pm at SCHOEDINGER NORTH CHAPEL, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus.
