

Judith Ann Bartlett Graves, 82, died September 29, 2021 at Riverside Hospital in Columbus after a short illness with pneumonia. She was born in 1939 to Mike Bartlett and Reva Bartlett Zeitler. in Mount Vernon. Judy met the love of her life, Art Graves, in 1957 when they were students at Mount Vernon High School. They married five years later after she graduated from Ohio State University with bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing. She taught nursing at Ohio State University and Franklin University. Judy loved watching college sports, especially OSU basketball and football, and was mad about March Madness. She was a long-time volunteer for AFS, and her family hosted Claudia from Argentina and Damien from Australia. Judy and Art honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, and returned every year to stay with the Zoder family at their motel. She enjoyed shopping, eating and going to shows in Gatlinburg and hiking and picnicking with friends and family in the Great Smoky Mountains. Judy and Art loved the Pomeranians they had over the years and were avid supporters of the Ohio Wildlife Center and Stratford Ecological Center. Judy loved the color purple and doing puzzles. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Over the last couple of years, Judy and Art traveled around Ohio to watch harness racing at county fairs and were featured in a local newspaper about their love of harness racing.
Judy is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband, Art; daughter, Amy (Chris) Colgan; son, Bret (Kim) Graves, and grandchildren, Brian Colgan, Kevin Colgan and Hannah Graves. The family is having a private memorial and plans to hold a celebration of life in the future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy's name to the Ohio Wildlife Center and Stratford Ecological Center. Family has entrusted SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST with final arrangements.
