

Judith Alexander Schultz, age 71, passed away at her home on December 28th, following a long struggle with Pulmonary Fibrosis. Judy was born in Jamestown, New York on September 2, 1941, but spent most of her life in the Columbus, Ohio area. She graduated with a degree in English education from The Ohio State University in 1963 where she was involved in student government and the Delta Delta Delta Sorority. After a brief time as a teacher, Judy pursued a highly successful career as a realtor, well known for her diligence and professionalism. Judy was an avid Buckeye and enjoyed attending events at The Columbus Academy where her husband taught for many years. Judy loved nothing more than spending time at the beach and was particularly fond of entertaining family and friends at her summer home on Cedar Point. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Edward and Reatha Alexander, and her sister, Paula Alexander. She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Louis A. Schultz, her daughter, Carrie Meacham (Chris), her grandchildren, Benjamin and Anne, sisters in law, Susan Schultz and Neill Ann Hancock (John) and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 2, 2013 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd. (at Beecher Rd), Gahanna. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Paul the Apostle Church, 313 N. State Street, at 10:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2013. Private interment at St. Joseph’s cemetery. Father Michael Hinterschied, Celebrant. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Judy’s name to St. Paul’s organ fund.
