

Julia C. Alder Yost (Judy), 95, of Worthington, passed away on Saturday, March 19, 2011 at Worthington Christian Village. Judy was born on January 9, 1916 in Sneedville, TN. She was the devoted daughter of the late William Daniel and Emma Mae Alder; was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Yost, their precious son, Gregory; sisters, Averie and Mabel; and brother, Bill. Judy was the cherished mother of Judy Ann Achey of Fenton, MI, Tom (Ginger) Yost of Canal Winchester, OH and Gary (Amy) Yost of Westerville, OH; and was the proud grandmother of Jessica (Joe) Hodson of Gahanna, OH, Jennifer (Tony) Frabott of Westerville, OH and Dr. K. Michael (Margaret) Webb of Austin, TX; along with 3 precious great grandchildren, Eleanor Hodson, Coby Frabott and Andrew Webb. A friend to her dear sisters-in-law, Marilyn Yost and Fran Alder, a faithful aunt to many nieces and nephews and close friend to many. Judy was a graduate of Galion High School, received her Associates Degree from Columbus Business School and she worked at Isaly’s in the bookkeeping department where she met her true love and husband of 62 years. After a few years at the Ohio Farm Bureau, she was blessed to stay at home to raise her four children. Judy was a long-time member of Worthington United Methodist Church where she was involved in the Women’s Circle. She was active in the Eastern Star, Lorraine Chapter, Worthington Women’s Club, Worthington Historical Society and the Worthington Library. She was also active in the East Naples Methodist Church in Florida. She enjoyed cards and games, many types of crafts and loved walking the beaches of Naples. Judy will be remembered for her strong faith in Christ, her gentle spirit and the love she had for her family. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 from 5-8pm at Schoedinger Worthington Chapel, 6699 North High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 24,
2011 at 10am at Worthington United Methodist Church, 600 High Street, Worthington, Ohio 43085; Reverend Cyndy Garn officiating. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
