

Katherine Sue “Kate” Fetter, passed away December 17, 2011. Kate was born in Columbus and grew up in Bexley, daughter of Richard Turner and the late Nina “Sue” Turner. She graduated from Bexley High School, Class of 1981 and went on to play in the band and graduate from Bowling Green State University. As a child, Kate always knew she wanted to be a teacher and had a special gift of relating to students with special needs. Kate was currently working with the Clark County ESC at Tecumseh Middle School. Kate was an excellent listener, very positive and encouraging. She always sought out the good in every person and situation, never judging. She will be greatly missed by her husband, Scott Fetter, whom she called “Scooter”; children, Amanda, Logan, and Oliver Gladfelter and Evan and Ian Fetter; granddaughter, Davaney Sutton; father, Richard Turner; siblings, Scott (Mary) Turner, Kenneth (Lana) Turner, and Mary Beth (Chris) Hanschmidt; father and mother-in-law, Dan and Delores Fetter; working dog, Scooby; and many other extended family members and dear friends. Calling hours will be from 12-2 P.M. Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Bexley United Methodist Church, 2657 E. Broad St. with funeral services to follow. Rev. Johna Curle, officiating.
