Katherine Marie Johnson

Katherine Marie “Kate” Johnson, age 27, suddenly November 5, 2009. She is a 2001 graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and a 2003 graduate of Pennsylvania Culinary Institute. She worked for the Ritz Carleton in Washington DC, Bouchon in Napa Valley, and for the past 3 years was the Bar Manager for the Tiberon Peninsula Club in Marin County Calif. She is preceded in death by her name sake grandmother Katherine Johnson and her grandfather Dr. Murray Leatherdale. She is survived by loving parents Byron and Trudy Johnson, sister Allison Johnson and fiance Nick Galilei, brother Andrew Johnson (Kimberly Michaels), nephew Andrew Raymond Johnson grandparents: Dr. Arnold (Marilyn) Johnson and Holly Leatherdale, and a host of other relatives in the United States and Canada. Katie enjoyed life to the fullest, she and her sister Allison danced with the Gahanna Lionettes, the Dollenmayer Dance Studio and Buckeye Gymnastics. The family will receive friends 2-5pm Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Schoedinger Northeast Chapel 1051 East Johnstown Road (at Beecher Road), where a brief Prayer Service will be held at 5pm. Private family interment. Kate would want contributions made to the Franklin County Special Olympics, 2879 Johnstown Road, Columbus OH 43219 in honor of her brother Andrew Johnson.
