

Kathleen Joyce Jansen, age 74, of Worthington, peacefully passed away May 2, 2012. She was born to the late Forrest and Freida King on March 2, 1938 in Toledo, Ohio. Kathy was a very giving person who had a gift with children and adolescence. Most of her career was spent teaching middle school math at Washington Local Schools in Toledo. She then taught and volunteered at public schools in Columbus, OH. A passion for animals and nature, she enjoyed volunteering for Ohio Wildlife and was very in tune with her surroundings. Above all, she absolutely loved spending time with her family. Kathy will dearly be missed. In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her brother, William Forrest King Sr. She is survived by her sons, Robert Theodore Jansen, III and Jeffrey John (Lori Sue) Jansen; daughter-in-law, Deborah Jean Dahn; grandchildren, Robert Theodore Jansen, IV, Jessika Lynn Jansen, and Sarah Marie Jansen; great-granddaughter, Layla Ann Graeff; nephews, Daniel Carlton King and William Forrest King Jr.; and many extended family members and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Worthington Christian Village, 165 Highbluffs Dr., Columbus, OH 43235, where a visitation will be held at 1pm.
