Kathy Ellen Iafolla

Kathy Ellen (Barry) Iafolla died Feb. 8, 2019, at OSU Hospital following a short illness. Close family members were by her side when she departed. Kathy was born July 30, 1946, to Raymond and Alice Barry and was a 1964 graduate of Upper Arlington High School. Kathy later attended Ashland College. Possessing a fiercely independent streak that delighted close friends and worried her parents, Kathy was nevertheless a devoted daughter, sister, wife and mother. Kathy is survived by Frank Iafolla, her husband of 42 years; her sisters Linda and Jane Barry; brother-in-law Jim Howe; son Kristopher (Maureen Murphy) Weiss; stepchildren Frank (Jen) and Natalie Iafolla; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Kathy worked as a sales representative for her family-owned home building company and later provided administrative support to her husband, Frank, at his company Pro-Deck. From early in her childhood, Kathy and her family spent summers in Huron, Ohio, which Kathy considered her home away from home.
