A devout Christian she attendedand taught children's Sunday School at St. Andrew United Methodist for most of her adult life. In the most recent years, Stonybrook United Methodist has been her place of worship. John 3:16 was her favorite passage, but we will never forget her favorite motto, which was "do unto others, as you would have done unto you." She loved to grow and arrange flowers, travel, shop, fly in their airplane, and spend time with her sisters and grandchildren. To know Kay, was to know that no matter who you were in her life, you felt her unconditional love. We will miss most her laughter, and a smile that would light up the room.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sisters Brenda Starner, Patsy Seals, and Nancy Lehecka. She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years and best friend Jerry Isbell; daughters Sonja (John) Wilcox and Wendi (Chad) Dennison; grandchildren Alex Wilcox, Kayli Nguyen, and Caleb Dennison; siblings Russell (Rita) Starner, Judy Careins, Art Starner, Dawn (Jerry) Knight, and Penny (Gary) Sorrell. Kay's family will receive friends from 11AM to 1PM on Friday, November 1, 2019 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd, Gahanna, with a funeral service to follow at 1PM. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately at Stonybrook United Methodist, 485 Cherry Bottom Rd, Gahanna.
