Kermit Gene Stone

Kermit Gene Stone, Sr., 80, passed away Sunday, April 4, 2021. He was born August 17, 1940 in Fullerton, KY to the late Edward and Annie (Bentley) Stone. He was retired from North American Refractories Company. He loved to spend time on his property tending to his garden and landscaping. Kermit took pride in the appearance of his property and the size of his tomatoes that he often shared with local restaurants. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Carol “Cookie” (Gilbert) Stone; sons, Kermit G. “Kelly" Stone, Jr. and Joseph Lee Spence; siblings, Roy Stone, Jimmy Stone, and Patty Smith. Kermit is survived by his daughters, Candace “Candy” (Charr Sarratore) Stone and Holly (Denise Zabawski) Stone; grandchildren, Jeremy Stone, Brittany Stone, and Nicholas Stone; great-granddaughter, Scarlett Stone; siblings, Ronnie Stone, Agusta Kinsey, and Judy Riggs; several nieces and nephews; and a number of good friends. A Private Family Memorial will be held on his property at a later date. His family would like to thank his caregiver, April Matthews for providing such wonderful care.
