I shared the language below via email with the global X team on the day of Kevin's passing, and thought it might give some comfort to his family to hear some of the kind words and good memories of his colleagues.  You are all in my prayers as you go through this difficult time.

I just keep thinking about my last trip to Cleveland when – after having dinner get rained out and all sheltering in Taylor’s apartment – Kevin was the one who convinced me and Morgan to have one more drink with him before last call at the 9.  I was so tired but I’m so grateful I took the time.  During our conversation we were talking about his health and I recall feeling so in awe that someone who was obviously going through some major issues was still able to be so positive and full of life.  I hope that if I am ever in a similar situation I have half the courage and energy that he did.  

I have learned a lot from everyone at global X since joining the team in 2014, but I think one of my most important lessons was just from observing Kevin in meetings and even conference calls.  No matter how heated a debate or negotiation got, Kevin managed to remain calm, positive, and yet firm at all times, and on top of that he even managed to slip in some of the funniest comments I have ever heard.  I think his style of not taking himself too seriously – while also taking our work very seriously – was the perfect balance.  He was so well respected and liked by everyone we worked with.  As cheesy as this sounds, I know that I’ll be better at my job if- in those moments where things get heated- I stop for a moment and ask myself, “What would Kevin do?”  He would probably think that last comment was pretty funny. 

We really are losing a remarkable person and I try my best to believe that everything happens for a reason… I hope that someday maybe I’ll understand what that reason was in this case.  In the meantime, I’ll try to take comfort that global X will now have our own angel watching over us.

Mike and Nancy Butler purchased the Fireside Basket - White Rose and Calla for the family of Kevin Mark Czerwonka.

So sorry to hear of Kevin's passing, Kevin was a best friend in sixth grade and earlier prior to his moving from the Monona area. He was always kind and happy with that big smile and eyes to match. Many of us from Monona,Wi., remember him and wish his family peace and comfort at this time.

You have our deepest sympathies on your loss of Kevin. We are saddened on two fronts. First, Kevin was a outstanding and contributing young partner who I remember from his very first days as an associate. His "departure" was Firm's loss but we gained a loyal client that we thought and hoped would be with us for many years to come. Sadly that is not to be. 

Second, MaryPat and I go way back as friends of Jane and Jim to the early 70's. We know Kevin's passing leaves a whole in their heart as it does yours and the children. We have not seen Jane and Jim much since they went west. We are out of town and will miss the calling hours.  Would you let them know we extend our condolences.

I am Kevin Mark's aunt.  He was a unique and very special person.  When he smiled it lit up the room and you had to smile back.  He was kind, caring and considerate and will be missed.  Condolences to his family and our love and prayers.  Tim and Linda Jamieson.

So sorry I was not able to with you again at the hospital.  The pain must be so great with the loss of one so young.  My prayers are with you in these days of powerful grief.  God will support you.  Feel free to contact me at the parish if I can do anything.

Kevin was a wonderful young boy who grew into a wonderful young man!  He & my late son, Dan Szohr were best of friends,in fact, called themelves brothers.  They went to grade school, high school, college & "life" school together always staying in touch. 
Despite his illness Kevin came to Milwaukee this March for Dan's services & tributes & again he traveled to Lake Tomahawk, Wi on the 6 mo anniversary of Dan's passing the wkend of August 28 w/6 other mutual friends.

And a week later that nasty autoimmune disease attacked w/a vengeance!!
Words are inadequate to express my sympathy at the loss of such a wonderful human being, husband, father, son ,friend, etc at such a young age. 
Do believe that Dan & Kevin's dad were there to welcome him on the "other side".

I am speechless, Jen.  I ran into Joe when I was in town last week & he told me how ill Kevin was....I was shocked to hear the news. So I asked him to give you my love and let me know when it may be appropriate to reach out to you ~ but since we haven't been in touch for many years now that I've moved away, I certainly didn't want to intrude on such a delicate time for your family. My heart is broken in a million pieces for you, Lexie, and Max...and all of your family and friends who love Kevin so much.  He was a truly wonderful man and I was so happy for you when you met him.  What a beautiful life & family you built together! ~ but I am so sorry he had to depart from this world at such a young age.  I am here for you, sweetheart...if you ever just need to talk. I am Kevin's Aunt, but we are only 2 years apart in age.  Kevin and I grew up together.  When I think of Kevin I remember us making tents out in the yard out of old blankets and sheets.  He grew up into such a fine man.  He always had that huge smile and that twinkle in his eye.  I will miss you nephew....Debbie

Jennifer, Lexie and Max:  As I sit here in Kevin's old office typing this, I'm having trouble finding words to express just how wonderful a man Kevin was.  He was my first mentor at the firm and was absolutely everything I could ask for as a mentor, partner and friend.  I will always remember him for his wisdom, for following the Golden Rule, for always doing the right thing, for the pride and love in his voice and eyes when he talked about you, and for his great sense of humor and contagious laugh.  Although we did not see each other often enough, he was a friend to Carolynn as well, and he asked about Cassie and Eleanor regularly.  We will miss him, and we will keep you in our thoughts and prayers.
