Konrad was an always available good friend. I invited him several time in Italy to contribute at university seminaries, conferences memories. He always came and his presence, made the difference. I met him quite late in his life,  on beginning of years '90,  nevertheless several friendly and "human" remembrances will always keep Konrad in my heart.

I was deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Professor Dr. Konrad DABROWSKI. As an international PhD student under his supervision in 1992-1994, I had the privilege of receiving not only his academic guidance but also his personal support, which made a profound difference in my journey—especially being far from home. He guided me lifetime.
Professor Dabrowski was more than a supervisor to me; he was a mentor, a source of encouragement, and someone who genuinely cared about his students’ progress and well-being. His passion for research, his dedication to teaching, and his ability to engage meaningfully with students from diverse backgrounds made him truly exceptional. He created an environment in which I felt welcomed, challenged, and supported—something I will always be grateful for.
I know his passing is a great loss to the department and to the academic community. Please accept my heartfelt condolences, and kindly extend my sympathies to his family and to all of his colleagues and friends.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Konrad Dabrowski. He held a special place in the hearts of both my ex-husband, Joost Blom, and myself. It was thanks to Konrad's generous support that we were able to live in Japan for two unforgettable years — an experience I will always cherish.

His kindness also helped pave the way for Joost to secure a postgraduate position at OSU, which in turn gave me the opportunity to study there and earn my MBA. That moment led me to follow fulfilling career in international development.

For all of this, I remain deeply grateful to Konrad and will always remember him with warmth and appreciation. RIP.

I am so sorry for your loss. I admired Konrad for his wealth of knowledge and for being an amazing person with a life full of accomplishments. I will truly miss our conversations.

From the bottom of my hearth and all my family , we can not express how sorry we feel. He will always be in my toughts and foverever grateful for the time I have the joy to share  with him. His mentoring and friendship will always be present forever as an example of how a researcher should be. Shocked and deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Konrad. An exemplary scientist, versatile, rigorous covering all aspects of  physioology of the whole life cycles of bony or cartlagenous fish.  You were a personal friend and erstwhile colleague at INRA, St Pée. I will miss you, Konrad. So will all those who have had the privilege and benefit of being associated with you.
