L. Brian Carlisle

Born April 5, 1941, Brian was the son of the late Rev. Leonard Carlisle and the late D. Inez Deardorf Carlisle. He was predeceased by his sister, Mary Beth Carlisle; his brother, Wayne Carlisle; his nephew, Matthew Carlisle; and his former wife, Linda Reznikoff.

Brian will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Melissa Hoch (Jonathan) and Victoria Crowley (John). He leaves behind five grandchildren who will always remember him for his wit and humor: Jack, Connor, Maren, McKenna, and JP. He is also survived by his former wife, Marilyn Hoff, and former stepson, Ben Ross.

Brian is mourned by his cherished sister-in-law, Kathy Carlisle, and niece, Megan Glashagel (Peter), as well as dear friends who cared for him: Michael and Jean, and John and Joan.

Brian’s family is especially grateful to the nurses and caregivers who kept watch over Brian in his final years, especially Betty, Josephine, Satta, and Lorna.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, January 31 at Westerwood Senior Living, Westerville, Ohio. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Carlisle Family Fund at Manchester University, North Manchester, Indiana.
