Larry A. Butts

A celebration of life service for Larry A. Butts will be held at the Criss Schoedinger Funeral Home, 179 Granville St., Newark, Ohio on Tuesday August 24, 2010 at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow at Newark Memorial Gardens.

Larry passed away peacefully at his home in Newark, Ohio on Thursday August 19, 2010. He was born in Wiltshire England on June 3, 1957 to the late Donald E. and Irene (Gardner) Butts. Larry grew up in Thornville, Ohio, and graduated from Sheridan High School class of ’76. Three years later, he married the love of his life, Brenda S. (Lambert) Butts, on August 30, 1979. They would have had celebrated 31 years together. Larry dedicated his working career to Universal Veneer for 27 years. An avid outdoorsman; hunting, fishing, and gardening, whatever the season, he could be found participating in it. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother; dedicate to and loved by all his family and friends. He will be sorrowfully missed by all who knew him.

Along with his wife Brenda, survivors include his son Tim J. Butts; grandchildren Kearston, Austyn, Trevor, and Alisyn, brother of; Michael L. (Cheryl)Butts of Georgia, Debra A. (Bob) Cornely of Tennessee.

He is also preceded in death by his daughter Misty D. Butts.

Family and Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm. Contributions to the Hospice of Central Ohio may be made in his name.
