Larry Lee Newman

Larry L. Newman, age 82, went to his final rest after a brief illness on Friday, February 19, 2016. Larry was born on November 20, 1933 in Hamden, Ohio, the only son of Delbert Oliver and Callie Romola (Griffith) Newman. He was a long time resident of Columbus, Ohio and spent his final years in Delaware, Ohio. Larry was a graduate of Central High School (1951). He worked 38 years as a drafter at Ranco, Inc. He was a long time member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Larry was a 32 degree Mason and a member of Community Lodge 684 FandA.M. and Horace W. Wright chapter #226 R.A.M. He was a long time member of the Registrar Unit of the Aladdin Shrine Temple and the Worthington Chapter of order of the Eastern Star #287. In addition to parents, Larry was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Eileen (Persinger). He will be greatly missed by his sons, Jeffrey (Tracy) and Wayne (Tom Snyder); and his granddaughter, Tori Newman. Family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 PM on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHWEST CHAPEL, 1740 Zollinger Road, Upper Arlington, Ohio 43221, where a funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, February 24, 2016.
