

A Memorial Service for Leland M Peck will be held Saturday June 12, 2010 at 5:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Wayne Zavotka officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Licking County Veteran’s Alliance.
Leland was born February 2, 1949 in Newark to Brisker Bamburg and Marion Elizabeth Peck. He died June 7, 2010 at his home in Pataskala. He was 61.
After graduating from the Newark High School in 1967, he joined the US Navy and served aboard the USS Guadalcanal during the recovery of the Apollo 9 Space Capsule. Returning to Newark, he owned several businesses in the area, including Two Guy’s Pizza and Peck’s Place. He enjoyed a good game of pool or poker. He attended Sullivan College in Kentucky earning his MBA with Sigma Cum Laude honors.
He is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Maggie Elizabeth Francis, his mother Marion Elizabeth Peck and his step-father Robert Ross Peck.
He is survived by his life partner Diane Arps of Pataskala, father Brisker Bamburg of Coushatta, La., daughter Christy (Rick) Swank, son Gregory (Kati) Peck, friend and mother of his children Terry Peck, grandchildren Ares Peck, Samantha Peck, Kim Lecuyer, Ryan Lecuyer, and Jasmine Lecuyer, with whom he spent many hours teaching them to play different games, brothers Bobby (Debbie) Bamburg of Newark, Brandon Bamburg, Brenda Bamburg of Shreveport, La; Phyllis Bamburg of Knoxville, TN, Janice of Shreveport, La., special aunt Ethel Wright, his good friend Fuzzy Hartless and his pet dog Sheba.
