Leo Francis Taylor

Leo Francis Taylor, age 87, of Frostproof, FL, formerly of Columbus, OH and Marblehead, OH, passed away January 2, 2013 in Sebring, FL. He was born October 5, 1925 in Triangle, NY to the late Bert and Bell (Wood) Taylor; also preceded in death by his wife, Wanda. He was a WWII Navy Veteran; gunner’s mate 2nd class. Leo retired from the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department, where he was a sergeant, in 1987. He loved golf, fishing, traveling and making ship models. He is survived by his children, Judy (John) Miller, Joan Abbott and Jack (Connie) Taylor; grandchildren, Nancy (Gregory) Batty, Brian Miller, Cindy (Edward) Conklin, Lonnie Keith Abbott Jr. (Tracy), Holly (Allan) Nickels, Joshua (Stephanie) Taylor and Andy Taylor; great-grandchildren, Alexander and Tyler Batty, Jessica and Joshua Miller, Paul Conklin, Jarrod, Devon, Lucas and Ryan Abbott, Mathew and Shelby Roberts; Jackson Nickels and Reese Taylor. Funeral Services will be held at 1pm Monday, January 7, 2013 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 where family will receive friends from 12-1pm; interment in Riverside Cemetery; Pastor Bob Moore, officiating.
