

Lilian Jo Bloom, 40 of Columbus, OH passed away in peace Monday December 2,2019 at Riverside Methodist Hospital surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 5, 1979 in Jakarta, Indonesia.
At age 18, Lilian moved to Columbus OH to attend The Ohio State University, where she met the love of her life, Todd Bloom. She graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Arts. Lily and Todd married December 6, 2003. They enjoyed DIY home improvement projects, gardening, and spending time with pets, especially her first dog Stella. They enjoyed traveling to beach destinations including Hawaii and Myrtle Beach. She enjoyed traveling to her childhood home in Indonesia with her husband. She was proud of the half-Marathon she trained for and completed with her husband in 2010.
Lily’s greatest joy was being a mother. Her daughter Lyla was born April 21 2012. The family continued to enjoy traveling, including Indonesia, Dubai, Bali, Key West, and various beaches. Lyla and Mommy enjoyed the zoo, picnics, playing games, coloring and cuddling. They shared a love of animals, especially their dog Ellie.
Lily’s laugh was genuine and true and defined her personality. An extremely strong person, Lily’s battle against cancer was the epitome of perseverance. She was supported unconditionally by her husband. Lily’s unwavering strength allowed her to provide precious time for her family. Her wish was for family to celebrate her love of life.
Survivors include her husband and daughter, parents, Gunawan and Nuryati,; brothers, Christian and Ben; Todd’s parents, Joe and Mickie; siblings Joanna (Bob) and Patrick (Marta). She lovingly adored all of her nephews and nieces.
