Linda was born November 26, 1942, in Indianapolis Indiana to the late Franklin P. and Janette M. Vincent. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years (David) and is survived by her only child, son Peter and his wife Amber.
After graduating from Upper Arlington High School, she attended Miami University, majoring in political science.
Linda was proud to follow the philanthropic lifestyle, donating her hard-earned money and time to many beautiful and worthwhile causes, all close to her heart.
Her happiest times was when she was serving God and the Church, as a very longstanding member (close to 70 years) of Trinity United Methodist Church, where for many years she served as editor of the Trinity Times news. It is from Trinity that the family all gained lifelong friends. Both Dave and Linda were involved in the church youth group, even chaperoning a trip to Washington DC in the late 1970’s.
Linda devoted much time to the Hearing Loss Association of America, both to help others and to gain valuable insight into her own condition.
In 1977 she spearheaded a statewide ballot initiative concerning the use of trapping devices. The measure passed with overwhelming success.
She was very involved in professional fundraising, a longtime employee of Goettler Associates, and was able to independently raise funds for the Ohio Statehouse restoration, as well as many museums around the country.
She loved spending time with her PEO sisters, Ducks Unlimited of Central Ohio, the Ohio State Fair, and perhaps one of her favorite organizations, the Rotary Club of Hilliard, where both her and Dave served as past presidents.
She will be sadly missed by all that knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, the Rotary Club of Hilliard, Ohio, or to the Hearing Loss Association of America in her memory.
