I am shocked and saddened to hear of Lisa's passing.  I am a neighbor to Lisa's parents and have seen the amount of love and care she put forth into helping them and others.  What a wonderful family!  Her infectious smile and personality will be deeply missed.  I'm so sorry for your loss and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Our sincere sympathies to Jim and Lisa's children and family. I was saddened to hear of her unexpected passing. I just spoke to her recently. My mother and father, Bonnie and Pete Kincaid, first met Lisa while performing at the Gillie's Chorus directed by Lisa's mother, Ann Gillard. My parents were very fond of the Gillard's, and in 2011 , when my parents moved to Oakleaf Village from their house of 44 years, Lisa went out of her way to check on them, stop by and chat, run errands for them and communicate with us kids (who all lived far outside Columbus). This was before she worked there. I felt such gratitude that she was there for them, out of the goodness of her heart, and had devoted so much time to helping them transition into their new home when they did not have family in town.  Her selflessness is an example.  Our hearts are with you.

We were not acquainted with Lisa - but we knew her father, Jim, and her mother, Ann from their, and our, days at Northland High School where our son, Jim, Jr. and Lisa's sister, Lori, were classmates and members of the marching band.
We cannot even imagine the feeling of a person losing a child.  Our most heartfelt sympathy goes out to all of the Gillard and Heasley families during this most difficult time.

We have so many wonderful memories of living next door to all of you on Fullen Road.  That was such a great time,  with a bunch of kids in the neighborhood who were the same age and played well together (well, mostly!  Remember how we used to tell them to "work it out"?)  We always knew we could count on each other for a quick loan of a forgotten ingredient, or a sympathetic cup of coffee.  And how can anyone forget summers at Northland Swim Cub?

The pain of this loss must be overwhelming, but there will come a time when the thousands of warm memories she left behind will comfort and sustain you, and bring smiles and even laughter back again.

My most sincere condolences to the Heasley and Gillard families. Lisa was a forever friend to my family. Forever, because I do not remember the time before she came into our lives. She was a wonderful friend to my sister, Becki. and a co-worker of mine at Northland Swim Club. I'll always remember Lisa joining my family on a vacation to Florida. Now this was a time when good seafood joints just didn't exist in Columbus, so we'd encourage her to try some fare that you couldn't get at home. Lisa wasn't a seafood lover then and she wasn't having any of it. I'm sure our attempts got a little tiresome and it probably had the opposite effect because we couldn't even get her to try a hush puppy.  I think she figured hush puppies were only on the menu at seafood places, so we were probably trying to sneak some kinda fish in on her. It's goofy, but I still chuckle thinking about that time so many years ago.

She tolerated our attempts with grace and good humor, just like you would expect from such a gracious, accommodating person. These traits and her spirit are what I will always remember about her. RIP Lisa

I was so saddened to hear of Lisa's passing. I first met Lisa when my parents were living at Oakleaf Village. My mom and dad knew her mother, Ann, through the Chorus at Gillie's senior center. Lisa knew my parents were living at Oakleaf and always looked in on them. She took them to doctor's appointments and ran errands for them even before she had her job there. I was so shocked to hear of Lisa's passing on Sunday!  I have only known Lisa for a couple of months but she was so kind, always smiling, gentle and welcoming as we moved our Brother-in-Love into Oakleaf on Easter weekend.  Whenever I called Oakleaf, she was able to help me.  She will be missed!!

This is all so unreal.  Lisa was such a wonderful caring person.  We had so much fun when we were room mothers together.  We dress up at Halloween and act crazy and had a blast!  She always greeted you with a smile and felt like instant friends.  Lisa always pitched in and helped with anything that was needed.  Even though we didn't see each other much these days, I always knew I could call her and she would make me feel better.  Her sunny disposition will smile down on all of us that knew her.
