Lloyd Grant Stapleton

Lloyd Grant "Bud" Stapleton, age 79, of Grove City, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 26, 2015. He was born February 19, 1936 in the small town of Sunshine, Greenup County, Kentucky. Lloyd moved to Jackson County, Ohio at the age of 8, where he continued his education in the Oak Hill, Ohio Schools. He retired from American Standard and Techneglas Inc. and was a faithful member of Canaan Land FWB Church. Lloyd enjoyed fishing and hunting and spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lesley Herman and Gracie May (Ratliff) Stapleton and his loving wife of 57 years, Elsie Mae (Adams) Stapleton. He is survived by daughters, Teresa Hedge and Leisa (Lyle) Stapleton-Kincaid; grandchildren, Matthew Grant Kincaid, Riley (Greg Conley) Hedge, and Travis Hedge; great-grandson, Isaac Conley; siblings, Lora Bobo, Shelba Lipps, Larry Stapleton, Sharon May; sister-in-law Peggy Stapleton and brother-in-law Orlie May; also a host of nieces, nephews and friends, including good friend of many years, Jeff Aurentz. The family will welcome friends 2-4 and 6-8pm Friday, May 29, 2015 at Canaan Land FWB Church, 2777 Gantz Rd., Grove City, OH 43213 where funeral service will be held at 10am Saturday, May 30, 2015; interment to follow at Concord Cemetery; Pastor Shawn Beauchamp, officiating.
