

Lois Evelyn Lang, age 82, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 23, 2013. She was born November 2, 1930 in Mount Vernon, Ohio to the late Alphonsus and Helen (nee Kolp) McKenzie. She was a 1948 graduate of Mount Vernon High School and a graduate of Mount Carmel College of Nursing, where she earned her Bachelor's of Nursing. She enjoyed baking, stitchery, playing cards, time with family, candy making, and praying. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, James Lang; daughter, Jamie Baljak, son, Jeffrey Lang; and sister, Frances Bayliss. Lois is survived by her daughters, Janice Call and Jodell (Martin) Neidlinger; son-in-law, Joseph Baljak; grandchildren, Jennifer (Eric) Allen; Jordan (Elizabeth) Baljak, Tyler Call, Katarina Neidlinger, Gerard Neidlinger, and Joseph Neidlinger; great-grandson, James Baljak; siblings, Lucille Parker, Rosalie Creasy, Shirley McKenzie, Phyllis McKenzie, Richard McKenzie, and Gary McKenzie; many, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, October 25, 2013 at the SCHOEDINGER HILLTOP CHAPEL, 3030 W. Broad St., Columbus, Ohio. Mass of Christian burial 10 am Saturday at Our Mother of Sorrows Chapel, 6440 South High Street, Lockbourne, Ohio with Fr. Homer Blubaugh celebrant. Interment St. Joseph Cemetery.
