She is preceded in death by her loving husband Bill, and her parents Gerald and Maxine Grimsley of Mount Sterling, Ohio. She is survived by several loving cousins, whom she was very fond of.
Lou worked for over 20 years in the legislative branch at the Capitol Building and the Vern Rife Center, and she was well known by all for her quality work, dedication, and excellence in public service. She loved to travel with her husband Bill, and her cousin Joy. Riverboat cruises down the Mississippi were some of her favorites with Bill, as well as several trips to Scotland and England. Lou and her cousin Joy traveled on the Fun Bus to many exciting, lively, and beautiful places such as Atlantic City, St. Simons Island, and other wonderful destinations.
Lou was one of a kind; Intelligent, witty, generous, and passionate about her charities and love of animals. She made this world a better place and will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and neighbors.
Give your children, grandchildren, friends, and pets an extra hug today in her memory.
A graveside service will be held for Lou on Wednesday, July 9, 2025, at 10AM at Union Cemetery, 3349 Olentangy River Rd, Columbus, OH 43202. Pastor David Cady to officiate.
