Louis Dean Martin

Louis "Dean" Martin, age 64, of Columbus, Ohio, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dean was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a talented gospel musician and worked as an addiction counselor for Celebrate Recovery. Dean loved his dogs and his Cadillac but most of all he loved his family, they meant the world to him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Estill and Helen Hinkle. Dean is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Kathy Martin; beloved children, Estel, James (Angie), Doug, Chris (Naysa), and Caleb Martin; grandchildren, Alex, Rudy, Joey, Jordan, Alieya, Stella, Joseph, Jordyn, Trinity, Jacob, Jasmine, Alyssa, and Tyler; sister, Michelle (Bryan) Young; brothers, Dannie Martin and Kenneth (Mary) Hinkle; and several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Family will receive friends on Thursday, January 26, 2017 from 4:00PM-7:00PM at the HOPE and HEART FUNERAL HOME BY SCHOEDINGER, 3030 West Broad Street, Columbus, Ohio 43204. Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2017 at 11:00AM at the Friends Worship Center, 3030 Clime Road, Columbus, Ohio 43223. Pastor Bruce Bell officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Sunset Cemetery, Galloway, Ohio.
