

Madge Lydia Rose, age 87, passed away on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Born in Williamstown, Ohio on September 7, 1926 to the late Glen and Lydia Newman.
She is survived by her loving children Douglas (Candace) Rose, Daniel (Carol) Rose and Liz (David) Gaines; grandson Jason (Melanie Tullett) Rose, Nathan and Joshua Rose; great granddaughters Charlotte, Greer and Millicent; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband William H. Rose; sisters Jane Engel and Ruth Evans.
A devoted member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Madge spent her 39 year Nursing career as a Labor and Delivery Nurse with The Ohio State University Hospital and Riverside Methodist Hospital. She enjoyed her hobbies such as observing wildlife, cross stitching, traveling to Maine and was an amateur photographer. A hobby she shared with her husband. She was a member of the McConnell Heart Health Center for over a decade.
A Memorial Service will be held at 10am, Friday, May 2, 2014 at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 2151 Dorset Rd, Columbus, OH 43221. The Rev. Paul St. Germain, Rector officiating.
