

Margaret (Gonyea) Healy, age 72, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born in Chicago, IL, Marge went to Visitation High School and worked at Loretto Hospital. In 1960, she met the love of her life, James “Bud” Healy, married in 1961, and eventually settled in Upper Arlington, OH. Marge was a loving mother to four children and seven grandchildren. She was member of St. Agatha Parish and involved in the adult choir and later as part of the parish prayer garden group. Marge was a beloved wife, mother, friend, and consummate caregiver especially to her mother, brother, and grandson but also to anyone in need. She was a wonderful cook, gardener, and bowler. She loved birds, pets, and Ohio State sports. Marge had a competitive and feisty spirit which aided her in becoming a recent cancer survivor. Marge had a passion for her family. A 40 year resident of Upper Arlington she treasured her friends and neighbors. She loved entertaining, especially on the 4th of July where guests would watch fireworks from her backyard. Marge was loyal to many local businesses, restaurants, and shops. Preceded in death by her parents, her brother Leo, and her husband James, she is survived by her sister Marilyn, brother James, children, Mary (Jerry) Smith, Eileen (Doug) Ryan, Michael (Tracy) Healy, and Dennis (Lisa) Healy, and her seven grandchildren, Tyler, Adam, Sean, Cadyn, Graham, Jeffrey and Jacob. Visitation will be held at Schoedinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Rd., Upper Arlington on Sunday, February 3 from 2-5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Agatha Catholic Church, 1860 Northam Rd., Columbus, OH 43221 at 10 a.m., Monday, February 4.
