Margaret "Margie" Mitchell

Margaret E. "Margie" Mitchell, age 85, of Reynoldsburg, Ohio passed away peacefully on April 11, 2015. She was born March 16, 1930 in Kenton, Ohio to the late Lawrence and Julia Franz and was a graduate of Kenton High School. In 1953 Margie met SSgt. John A. Mitchell at Indian Lake. They were married August 21, 1954 in Kenton and settled in Reynoldsburg, where Margie was a lifelong homemaker. She was a devout Catholic and a long-time member of St. Pius X Church. Margie will be remembered for her kind heart, her giving spirit, and her love for her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Mitchell and daughter, Maureen Greer. Survived by children, Julie Scherer, Michael Mitchell and Mary Mitchell; son-in-law Robert Greer; grandchildren Jamie Kavanaugh, Robbie, Ryan and Colleen Greer; many nieces and nephews including special niece Joan Batton. Family will welcome friends 5-7pm Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., Columbus, OH 43232. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Thursday, April 16, 2015 at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1051 Waggoner Rd., Reynoldsburg, OH 43068; interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Ohio Right to Life, 88 E. Broad St. Suite 620, Columbus, OH 43215 in Margaret's memory.
