Margaret "Pegge" Powelson Bowen

Margaret "Pegge" A. Powelson Bowen, 76, of Gahanna, Ohio passed away November 15, 2016. She was born December 9, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Jack Douglas and Mary Louise Powelson. Pegge devoted many years to the mental health industry as a dedicated Teaching Assistant at the Franklin County Board of Developmental Disabilities. She also brought joy into peoples' lives through her clown ministry. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Gahanna. Pegge is survived by her daughters, Theresa (Van) Peck and Suzette Pickens; brothers, Doug (June) Powelson and Bob (Cookie) Powelson; grandchildren, Maggie (Scott), TJ, Mallorie, Brandy, Vic, Dee (Wesley) and Larry; great-grandchildren Lincoln, Cameron, Cason, Angel, Austin, Jared, Jamison, Jaylin and Landon; numerous nieces and nephews, family and close friends. Family will welcome friends 11am-12pm Monday, November 21, 2016 at Schoedinger Northeast Chapel, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230 where her funeral service will begin at 12pm; Pastor Tom Dove, officiating; private family interment will follow at South Lawn Cemetery in Coshocton, Ohio.
