

A funeral service for Marie Devine will be held Thursday June 16, 2011 at 1:00 PM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Myers officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Licking County Veteran’s Alliance will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
Marie was born on February 2, 1922 in Tuckahoe, NJ to the later Amos and Ruby Helen (Snell) Pennington. She died Sunday June 12, 2011 at the Selma Markowitz Center operated by Hospice of Central Ohio. She was 89.
Marie is preceded in death by her husband of 52 years Edward Devine Jr., son Edward Devine, sister Barbara, and her grandson Shane.
She is survived by her children Marie (Cecil) Walters of Newark, Karl (Donna) Devine of Racine, WI, Kimberley (Richard) Mease of Glenford, thirteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, and twelve great-great-grandchildren. Sister Ruby Bennett of Belfair, WA, brothers Norman (Doris) Pennington of Englis FL and Kenneth Pennington of Buckeye Lake, and numerous nieces and nephews. Special friends Ed Sparrow, Ila Mason, Kraig Councell, and Brian Hughes. Marie loved to go camping and fish, loved her grandchildren, babies, cooking and crocheting. She traveled to the west coast with her husband Edward and served her country during WWII by enlisting in the US Army WACS.
Her family would like to thank Debbie Greenwood, the nurses and staff, and Tom Myers of Hospice of Central Ohio for their love and care of Marie at this time of her life. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, PO Box 430 Newark Ohio 43058 in her memory.
