Marilyn Jean Bennett

Marilyn Jean Bennett of Columbus, Ohio, age 90, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2015. She was born on February 26, 1925 to the late Lester and Ella McGalliard of Tippecanoe, Ohio. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Joann Lawless; and brother, Dale McGalliard. Marilyn Jean is survived by her daughter, Judy (Mike) Vinson; son, Bob (Cherie) Bennett; and brother, Ronnie McGalliard. She also leaves behind loving grandchildren, Brad Vinson, Jenifer (Nathan) Filia, and Heath Bennett; seven great-grandchildren, Sydney and Sofia Vinson, Marissa, Gianna, and Luca Filia, Jerzy and Kadin Bennett; seven nieces and nephews. Marilyn Jean was a graduate of North High School and Bliss Business College. She retired from Doctors Hospital after 21 years of service as Assistant Director of Patient Billing. She was a member of Worthington Christian Church and the Learner's Sunday School Class. Marilyn Jean enjoyed bowling and traveling with her friends. Gahanna, where the Funeral Service will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2015. Interment will follow at Union Cemetery.
