

Mark S. Kendrick of Bexley, journeyed home to be with his Lord Friday, April 22, 2011. Preceded in death by his father, Burton Kendrick, Jr.; step-father, Charles Hummel; and grandparents, Burton and Emma Kendrick, and Harry and Ellen Sarver. Mark will be missed by his loving mother, Ruth Hummel; brothers, James (Linda) Kendrick and Paul (Paige) Kendrick; children, Jenny (Mark) Barnes, Tina (Jody) Kendrick, Stephanie Morrow, and Timothy Kendrick; grandchildren, Jessica, Justin, Brandon, Joe, Cody and Dillon; great-grandchildren, Lilly, and Savannah; aunt, Annabell Kay; and many nephews. Mark attended Walnut Ridge High School, served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and was formerly employed with LabCorp. He had a strong relationship with God. Mark loved cars and cherished time spent fishing with his buddy and grandson, Brandon. Mark was a proud father and grandfather and loved being around children. He will be remembered for his dry sense of humor, good heart, and his caring ways. Mark’s family would like to give special thanks for the care and support shown to them by the staff at Columbus Alzheimer’s Care Center and Odyssey Hospice. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 26, 2011 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST CHAPEL, 1051 E. Johnstown Road, Gahanna, where the funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. Mark’s final fishing spot will be in Sunset Cemetery.
