Martha Lee Burns

Martha Lee Burns, age 80, passed away Friday, September 13, 2013. She was born April 28, 1933 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Arthur and Catherine (nee Scheirer) Potter. Martha was an avid Ohio State Buckeye fan; She loved her Brutus! She also enjoyed spending time at the cottage at Lake Eerie, but there was nothing more important to her than spending time with her family and friends. She loved a good party and always came with bells and whistles on. There's no denying her ornery spirit will be missed. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the love of her life and soulmate, Howard; her sister, Shirley; her son, Glenn; her grandson, Nick. Martha is survived by her daughter Cheryl Miller (Jeff), her sister Joann, her grandchildren Molly Herbert (Brandon), Graham Burns (Brittany), and Shelby Landoll (Uriah), and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 and 5:30-7pm with the service to follow on Tuesday, September 17, 2013 at Schoedinger Midtown Chapel, 229 East State Street. Burial will be Wednesday at 10am at Arlington Field of Honor Burial Park, Canal Winchester. In lieu of flowers, donations in Martha's memory may be made to the Columbus Firefighters Foundation.
