Martha Ellen Howard

Martha Ellen Brooks Howard was a daughter of 6 to Charles Brooks and Jannie Snowden Brooks. She was born on February 4, 1948 in Jersey City, New Jersey. She attended Jersey City public school district. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School in 1967. Martha was employed at the U.S Postal Office for many years where she met and married her late husband Jimmie Howard on 08/27/1971. Martha met her life partner Samuel Hall in early 2000’s and together they relocated to Columbus, Ohio with their grandchildren where they made their forever home. She had a very kind heart and loving nature. She will always be remembered and missed very much by all who knew and loved her. On Thursday, December 19, 2024, God called his child home to glory. She departed this life at the James Cancer Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. She is preceded on her journey by Jannie (mother) Charles (father) husband Jimmie Siblings Charles, Albert, Lillian, Ineatha and grandson Thomas Tyquanne Washington. She leaves to cherish in her memory life partner Samuel Hall. Her sons Thomas and Terrance Brooks and Bonus daughter Tenda Wells. Siblings Allen Snowden, Katherine Brooks, and Tara Rowley. Thirteen grandchildren Tazzey, Brittany and Shamod Lester. Emani,Terry, Temarr, Imoya, Justice, Justin, Isabella Brooks. Renee, Jocovia Jones. Zaire Wells and Khaleya Gordon. Six Great Grandchildren Keishawn Robinson, Jaylon Lester, Raimere Anderson, Amiya Slaughter, Lahna Hatcher, Sha’Myah Lester. As well as a host of nieces, nephews, loving relatives, and friends.
