

A funeral service for Martin L. Melrose of Newark will be held Saturday June 4, 2011 at 10:00 AM at the Criss-Schoedinger Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Dale officiating. Interment with military honors provided by the Licking County Veteran’s Alliance will be held at Barnes Cemetery.
Martin was born on October 4, 1941 in Coshocton to the late Carl E. and Clara (Hoy) Melrose. He died Friday May 27, 2011 at the Pickering House in Lancaster. He was 69.
He is preceded in death by his wife Kathi, sister Mary Brink and brother Dick Hoy.
Martin is survived by his sons Carl W. Melrose of Davenport Iowa, Martin T. (Lisa) Melrose of Newark, Eric D. Melrose of Saline, MI, Christopher R. (Barbara) Melrose of Grove City, and his daughter Beth (Christopher)Warthman of Lancaster. His grandchildren that he loved dearly, Julie, Andrew, Joel, Austin, Katie, Tamara, Thomas, Amber, Joshua, Shari, Brandon, Dylan, Mariah, Faith, Wyatt, Grace, Rachael and Ruby. Brother Edward “Sonny” Melrose of Warsaw and brother-in-law Archie Brink of Dresden.
Martin was a graduate of the old Union school in Coshocton County, a veteran of the US Air Force, a member of the UAW Local, retired from North American Rockwell after over 30 years’ service.
