Marvin Leroy Mitchell

Marvin Leroy Mitchell, Sr. was born in Urbancrest, Ohio on June 3, 1947 to Elizabeth J. Mitchell and Anderson (Tom) Horsley, and he departed this life on February 2, 2016. He was a graduate of Grove City High School and attended Aenon Bible College. He retired after being employed by Columbia Gas of Ohio for 32 years after which he served as Code Enforcement Officer for the Village of Urbancrest. He is preceded in death by his parents Elizabeth J. Mitchell and Anderson (Tom) Horsley, sisters Gwendolyn Horsley and Phyllis Mitchell, brothers Anderson Jr. and Ronald Horsley. He heaves to cherish his life his loving wife of 26 years and caregiver Sonjia Mitchell, brothers Herbert (Connie) Mitchell and Mark Nunley, sisters Mary Louise Horsley-Rivers, Khair Leigh Shabazz, Elizabeth Horsley and Margaret Ann Fitz Hugh, children Marvin L. (Cynthia) Mitchell, Jr., Marcus L. (Joy) Mitchell, Marchelle (Philip) Parker, grandchildren Joshua, Jonathan, Joel, Natalie, Nicholas, Philip and Isaac, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and special aunt Betty J. Mitchell. Family will receive friends Wednesday, February 10, 2016 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m. at the Grove City Vineyard Church, 3005 Holt Rd., Grove City, OH 43123, where a funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. Interment Eastlawn Cemetery.
