Mary was born in Columbus to Wilbur and Betty (Shipley) Chappelear. She was graduate of Gahanna Lincoln High School and a retiree from Nationwide Insurance where she worked for 37 years as an underwriter. She was preceded in death by her father, brother Wayne Chappelear and brother-in-law Ron Meade.
She will be missed by her loving husband Bruce Boyer and her son and daughter-in-law Wayne and Jessica Boyer; her granddaughter Elena, her mother and sister Terry Meade.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2016 from 5-8PM at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2PM with Pastor Frank Luchsinger officiating at New Holland Union Cemetery, 26160 Egypt Pike. New Holland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Mt. Carmel Hospice, 1144 Dublin Rd, Columbus, OH 43215.
