Mary Ann Byrd

Mary Ann Byrd, age 82, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, April 01, 2014. She was born in Bloomingburg, Ohio on February 10, 1932 to the late Edith (Woodfork) and Sherman Ryan, Sr. Mary was a faithful and devoted member of the Lord of Life Fellowship Church. She retired from St. Anthony's Hospital after 42 years of dedicated service as a dietary specialist. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Byrd, Sr.; daughter, Cynthia (Byrd) Knight; sister, Valdienne Dennis, and brother, Sherman Ryan, Jr. Mary is survived by her loving children, Julia Cooper, Carolyn (Lonnie) Morgan, Opal Byrd, Timothy (Kim) Byrd, and Donald E. (Kim) Byrd, Jr.; sisters, Anna Mae Wilson and Betty Jo Powell; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and friends. Family will receive friends 10:30-11:30 am Friday, April 4, 2014 at Schoedinger East Chapel, 5360 E. Livingston Ave., where the funeral service will begin at 11:30 am.
