

Mary Avis Garrett, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at the Heath Nursing Care Center. She was born on June 26, 1936 in Clearfield, KY to the late James Addie and Myrtle Marie (Cundiff) Conley. She grew up in Zanesville, OH and attended Lash High School. She was a surgical technician for Bethesda Hospital in Zanesville for many years. Mary Avis was known for her cooking, and enjoyed fishing, bowling and traveling. She moved to Denver, CO many years ago, and made her home there.
Mary Avis was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome Garrett, and her brother, Addie Conley, Jr.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Rosta, of Columbus; sons Terry Rosta, of Charlottesville, VA, Steven (Kellie) Rosta, of Blacklick, OH, Matthew (Jana) Rosta, and John (Jennifer) Hollingsworth, of Parker, CO; grandchildren Angela (William) Condon, Laura Brown, Maria (Nick) Zeman, Stephen Bennett, Cristina Bennett, Robert Rosta, McKinsey Rosta, Michael Rosta, James Rosta, Angelina Rosta, Katherine Hollingsworth, and Elizabeth Hollingsworth; sister Irma Louise Kendall of Alliance, OH; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
