Mary June Glenn

She was born in Gahanna, Ohio on January 5, 1924 to the late Harold and Nettie (Shull) Sandusky. A 1941 graduate of Gahanna High School, she was their very first homecoming queen and married her high school sweetheart Charles E. Glenn on August 12, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1977 after 35 years of marriage. She worked as a secretary for Jefferson Local School District prior to her career as property manager for Ebner Properties for 28 years until her retirement in 2004.

Mary June is survived by her children Gregg (Kathi) Glenn, Nikki (Gary) Blackburn, Vikki (Dan) Luft and Kathy (Jeff) Brown; brother-in-law John Strachan; sister-in-law Donna Faye Glenn; 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren as well as many nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by siblings John Sandusky, Sue Strachan and brother-in-law Carl Glenn.

The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thank you to the New Albany Care Center, where Mary June enjoyed her friends, the staff and activities so much. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to New Albany Care Center Activities, 5691 Thompson Rd., Columbus 43230.

The family will receive friends from 10-11AM Friday, November 11, 2016 at Stonybrook United Methodist Church, 485 Cherry Bottom Rd, Gahanna. A memorial service will held at 11AM with Pastor Nikki Baker officiating. Private inurnment will follow.
