Mary R. Griffith, age 88, of Columbus, Ohio passed away peacefully on July 14, 2016 surrounded by family. She was born June 24, 1928 in Marion, Ohio and was preceded in death by her husband, William E. Griffith; parents, Walter and Helen Horch, and her brother, Robert Horch. Mary was an avid bowler in her day, and never passed up an opportunity to play BINGO. She also was a member of the ladies auxiliary of Fleet Reserve Assn. Unit #199. She is survived by her daughters, Janet (Al) Moyers, Linda McKee and Deborah (Joe) Burton; son, Michael W. Griffith; 7 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; sisters, Phyllis (Art) Stern and Martha Fix; many nieces, nephews, and her beloved black lab, Princess. Funeral service 1pm Tuesday, July 19, 2016 at Schoedinger North Chapel, 5554 Karl Rd., Columbus, OH 43229 where family will welcome friends from 11:30am-1pm; interment to follow at Kingwood Memorial Park.
